Facing your fears…

Cabazon Dinosaurs, Cabazon, CA

Story behind the picture…

Driving on a hot day from Joshua Tree National park on my way to San Diego and tired from all the hiking to get to where the cacti were blooming in the dessert I stopped at  Cabazon, CA to get some fuel and a refreshment. At the pump there was a sign that read:

“Come see the world’s biggest dinosaurs”

Looking past the gas station, I saw them and went to take a look, with my camera, of course. Suddenly I see a girl running towards the dinosaur and I shoot and capture the moment.

Back at the office, I realized what a profound meaning and lesson we can learn from that girl running towards the unexpectedly big animal. It was as if the girl was afraid of it but instead of running away, she saw him and immediately went towards him in a subconscious reaction when a human being needs to get over their fears, instead of running away, you confront them and minimize them.

So true…
